DeHoff's Take: “Ashley made a commitment to herself and the team this summer and it certainly shows this fall.  We positively saw what her versatility created for us.  We look to have her take off where she leftoff from last season’s Summit League Tournament and emerge as a leader for this year’s squad.”

The 2008-09 Season: Played in 29 games including four starts ... Averaged 7.5 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1.1 steals in 25.6 minutes of playing time per game ... Connected on 41.3 percent from the field including 28.8 percent from three-point ... Made 71.7 percent from the foul line ... Led the Bison in rebounding in four games and in scoring on two occasions ... Recorded three of NDSU's seven double-doubles over last nine games of the season ... That included 15 points and 10 rebounds in comeback win over Western Illinois (3-8-09) at Summit League tournament ... Had eight games with double-figure scoring and four in rebounding ... Netted a season-high 16 points in three games including Oakland (3-9-09) in the Summit League semifinals ... Hit career best 4 of 8 from the three-point line ... Pulled down a season-high 12 rebounds and scored 12 points in late season win at Western Illinois (2-9-09) ... Had a career best six assists at Oral Roberts (2-28-09).

The 2007-08 Season: Did not play due to preseason knee injury.

The 2006-07 Season: Ashley sat out due to the NCAA transfer rule.

The 2005-06 Season at Colorado State: Ashley scored nine points appearing in 12 games for the Rams, which compiled a 9-20 record.

 

High School Days: A 2005 graduate of Underwood High School ... The all-time steals leader in Minnesota high school history, Samuelson averaged 24.8 points, 10.3 rebounds and 5.6 steals per game during her senior season ... Valuable member of the Rockets’ 2004 Class A state runner-up and 2005 state tournament basketball teams ... Concluded an impressive prep career with 2,695 points, 1,166 rebounds, 481 assists and the state record 688 steals ... Two-time Associated Press All-State first team and Minnesota Girls Basketball Coaches Association All-State selection ... Twice selected as the Fargo (N.D.) Forum Player of the Year and earned KARE 11 Female Athlete of the Year honors in 2005 ... Three-time Little Eight Conference basketball MVP and five-time all-conference selection ... Part of Underwood High School volleyball teams that advanced to the state tournament four times including a fourth place finish in 2003 ... Two-time all-state tourney selection ... Named to the 2004 Class All-State team and earned honorable mention in 2003 ... Two-time conference volleyball MVP and a four-time all-league pick.
