SENIOR (2009-10): All-America and Mountain West Conference Player of the Year Candidate...two-time All-Mountain West Conference selection at guard and one of the top players to ever play at New Mexico...one of only 16 New Mexico players to reach 1,000 points and only the sixth player to reach the mark as a junior...a general on the court with three-point shooting ability and the basketball knowledge to make things happen.

JUNIOR (2008-09): Second team All-Mountain West Conference selection...had one of the greatest seasons in school history with 553 points, 1,304 minutes played, 13th nationally with a 86.9 percentage from the free throw line, 64 steals, 79 three-pointers and averaged 15.4 points per game...started 36 games and helped lead New Mexico to a 25-11 overall season...played 40 minutes 12 times during the year...named a 2008-09 MWC Scholar Athlete and was named to the 2009 Spring Academic All-MWC list...twice named the MWC Player of the Week...set a career-high with 27 points against Texas Tech after hitting a career-high six three-pointers...scored in double figures 34 times and reached the 20-point mark seven times...named Reaching for the Stars (MVP) at the annual Lobo awards banquet.

SOPHOMORE (2007-08): Third team All-Mountain West Conference selection...starting point guard averaged 10.9 points per game...recorded 141 assists plus 53 steals, 117 rebounds and shot 37.3 percent from behind the arc...set a season-high with 26 points against UNLV on Feb. 2 inside The Pit...in her first full-time action, Beggin set career marks in minutes played, points, rebounds, field goals, field goal attempts, 3-pointers and 3-pointers attempted...named the Holiday Inn and Suites Express Albuquerque Midtown Tournament Most Valuable Player...scored 19 points against Towson in the championship game of the Comcast Lobo Shootout and was named to the all-tournament team...led UNM with a career-high 10 rebounds against the UTEP Miners on Dec. 30...hit a career-high six 3-pointers at Air Force and made seven field goals to finish with 20 points...played 40 or more minutes in 17 games...one of three Lobos named a MWC Scholar Athlete and named Academic All-Mountain West Conference.

FRESHMAN (2006-07): Played in every game for New Mexico and made two starts...averaged 4.5 points per game and was one of the top reserves...netted a season-high 14 points against Georgia Southern on Nov. 24...scored 13 points at BYU on Feb. 10 and was instrumental in the Lobos' NCAA run...finished the year with 62 assists, 27 steals and 696 minutes played...shot 61 percent from the free throw line and 37.5 percent from the field...first collegiate start was against TCU on the road...named Academic-All Mountain West Conference and a MWC Scholar Athlete.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2006 graduate of Roseville High School...lettered in basketball, soccer and softball...three-time all-state selection in both basketball and softball...led team to two sectional championships and one conference championship...member of the 2006 Minnesota Class 4A fourth-place team led by head coach Gwen Thielke...named to the 2006 Minnesota 4A All-Tournament team...selected 2006 Lions Club Athlete of the Year...also named finalist for Ms. Basketball and Pioneer Press Athlete of the Year...averaged 17 points, 4 assists and 5 steals a game her senior season.

PERSONAL: Born Amy Beggin in Fridley, Minn., on April 21, 1988...daughter of Bryan and Mary Beggin...father played basketball at Hamline University...has one brother, Dan...hobbies include playing sports, being with friends and reading...favorite athlete is Lindsay Whalen...majoring in Journalism/Mass Communications with a Public Relations concentration and minoring in Management.
